Reasons why we should discourage the government from imposing a central bank digital currency (CBDC) include this ability to stop you from making your own decisions. Dressed up as conforming with the law, if you go over 20km/h in China they take money from your bank account as a penalty and add points to your licence. Soon it will occur if you buy too much meat, or alcohol, or petrol. Once faceless bureaucrats and immoral leaders work out how to make your life more miserable – they do it. Be warned.

In China, CBDC is linked to your Digital ID. If you drive too fast, the speed camera system will immediately deduct your driver license points, before automatically deducting a fine from your Digital Wallet.
